Absolute disaster of a place. The employees are rude, they don't clean the tables nor use trips when delivering drinks at the table. It's almost like a self service, because you pay at the counter and then eventually, bring you a coffee... 30 minutes I had to wait for mine. It was delivered lukewarm, so I had to ask for hot milk. They redid it but burned the milk so the coffee was not nice at all (they charge you 10 pesos extra for an extra milk). When I complained the girls started back chatting and throwing the carton milks angrily. I spent 2 hours there, the wifi does not work so it was hard to get anything done. In that time I watched and spoke to my neighbour tables about the absolutely disgusting service. Everyone was cleaning-up their own tables, looking around to why their small orders were not coming! Expensive, rude and not nice food. It's such a pity because it's a centric place and the patio looks pretty. Oh, don't go to the toilet, they are super disgusting and dare to add a sign of a pig saying "Don't be a pig!" what a paradox! I'd fire everyone, the worse experience in Oaxaca (and I've visited almost...
Read moreI advise choosing somewhere other than Brújula if you are not fluent in Spanish. This is the only place in all of Mexico in which the staff became visibly irritated with my broken Spanish. I ordered a V60 and sat in the lovely courtyard to wait for it. After 15 minutes and seeing a dozen other drinks be delivered to their tables, I went to check on my coffee. They had not started brewing it despite the shop being empty of customers. When they noticed me, they started working on it and I returned to the courtyard. After 10 more minutes, I returned to the counter again, and this time my drink was just sitting on the counter getting cold. Ultimately the coffee was weak and stale. There are too many other good coffee shops with friendly service for someone to waste their time...
Read moreBeautiful patio, but no coffee here, just espresso drinks. We went based on reviews of their coffee, but, like many Oaxacans the reviewers are confusing espresso drinks for actual cups of coffee. If you truly.want brewed coffee you.wont find it here. Adding water to.a shot of espresso is not the same no matter if the Italians call it cafe Americano, it is no more similar to good cup of brewed coffee than taco bell is to a street taco in mexico. Brewed, cowboy style, pour over, french press, cafe de olla, none of these are offered here. Only espresso. Try black coffee gallery or better, try a french press at Cafe Cafe, the best we...
